Based in Belgium, AGC Glass Europe produces, processes and distributes flat glass for the construction (external glazing and interior decorative glass), the automotive (original & replacement glass) and the solar sectors. It is the European branch of AGC Glass, the world’s largest producer of flat glass.

Description de la fonction :

As a member of the Corporate Environment & Standardisation Dept, based in Louvain-la-Neuve HQ, you provide all AGC Glass Europe Plants and Departments with technical help acting as an internal expert in environmental matters (e.g. waste management, soil and groundwater assessment, waste water, air emissions, ISO 14001, audits, etc.) You are following up existing as well as future environmental legislations and you ensure that the applied solutions are in conformity with this legislation. As the Life Cycle Assessment expert ; you design, develop, and support environmental research through the Life Cycle Assessment methods for the AGC Glass Europe products range and new products design. You interact with other departments of AGC Glass Europe including the R&D Centre.

Profil :

You have a university degree with scientific background with some years of experience in environment management or with a specialization in environmental science. First experience in life cycle analysis and EPD drafting is an asset. You are fluent in English language and you have a good knowledge of one or two other European languages. Besides the qualities of the scientist, your sense of contact, your ability to convince, and your pro-activity are key strengths of your personality. Your analytical skills and your critical faculties make you able to manage a project from A to Z on an international level. You are willing to travel abroad for short time missions.
