Within the Electronics Engineering Division the Wire Harness design team is responsible for the design of the electrical circuit specifications and the physical routing of the vehicle wire harness, both within the engine & passenger compartment, this for conventional and hybrid engine powered vehicles. We take the various specifications and requirements into account and look for multiple solutions to achieve our quality standards.

We prepare the necessary drawings & technical documents to support our suppliers & European assembly plants in the preparation of their production.

We are using our project management skills to monitor our targets for quality, lead time & cost.

Your Challenge

Together with the other team members, you will be involved in the design of the wire harness for vehicles for the European market. You will be involved in the design of the electric power distribution and wire harness parts & components such as relay & fuse box, junction box, protectors and fixation brackets.

  • Your role includes to bring your technical expertise and project management skills forward to achieve quality and cost requirements in a timely manner
  • You will also investigate new technologies and trends in the field of electric power distribution, including competitor benchmarking and generate proposals (e.g. High Voltage power cables for Hybrid vehicles, wire technology for weight reduction)

Your Assets

  • Bachelor degree (minimum) or Masters in electronics or electromechanical engineering
  • 0 to 3 years experience (18 months max for Graduate Trainee), preferably in wire harness design (automotive or aircraft industry)
  • Project management skills
  • Familiar in using CAD systems (CATIA V5 is an asset)
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Self-Motivator
  • Team worker
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English ; other European languages or Japanese is an asset
  • Willing to travel frequently (up to 10%)
  • Possibility of training in our R&D Headquarters in Japan
